Ever wondered what it would be like to live downtown? More than 2,000 Knoxvillians do it every day now!
City People's 2012 Downtown Home Tour is Sunday, October 14, and will showcase many examples of occupied urban living space. With homeowners present in their units, visitors will be able to ask questions about living downtown, such as about activities, grocery shopping, parking, and more.
Units on the Tour are housed in everything from carefully restored historical buildings to loft warehouse space to beautiful new construction. Many of downtown's current residents were introduced to urban living through one of the City People Downtown Homes Tours over the past 25 years, and proceeds from Downtown Home Tour are reinvested back into Knoxville's center city community through grants to downtown causes such as Shakespeare on the Square, Tree Planting, James White Fort, Market Square Farmers Market, and more.
